Central Park Tashkent

If you're wondering where to spend time with your child in Tashkent, consider Central Park. This Park offers vast green alleys and 26 European attractions. Spanning an impressive area of 13,000 hectares, Central Park invites visitors for walks, contemplation, and peaceful relaxation on one of its many benches. You can also connect with nature under the shade of ancient acacias, oaks, and plane trees. Ducks, swans, and geese inhabit the lake, adding to the park's charm.

The expansive children's playground spans 3,500 sq.m. and features a maze, a miniature obstacle course, a dry pool, and animated show programs, providing a delightful experience for even the youngest visitors.

History of Mirzo Ulugbek Park

Additionally, Mirzo Ulugbek Central Park is a historic landmark in Tashkent. For 89 years, it has graced the city, evoking warm memories and nostalgic feelings in several generations of visitors.

The Park was established on the grounds of Nikolai Grodekov's summer residence, the Military Governor of the Syrdarya region.

Its grand opening took place on June 24, 1934. For several decades, the park was named "Telman" after the German communist leader.

Visitors from the Soviet era still remember the park by its old name, which is still known today.

Residents now associate Mirzo Ulugbek with a park in the Chilanzar district, also known as Gafur Gulyam Park and recently renamed Dream Park.

During the war, a food station for evacuated children was established here.

Activities in Tashkent Central Park

Telman Park is known for its events. It hosts celebrations for holidays, craft fairs, and exhibitions with intriguing displays for parents. All concerts, show programs, dance and theatre performances, contests, plays, sports competitions, and quests are free, allowing you to enjoy your time here with minimal expenses while gaining a boost of positive emotions and good mood.

Central Park Tashkent also serves as a venue for swapping festivals (swap parties) for exchanging items. If you're looking for a place to take vibrant photos in Tashkent, come here.

The tall cascading fountain on the alley provides picturesque shots by day and futuristic ones by evening.

There are both stationary photo zones created by nature and enhanced with decorative and lighting elements (like the illuminated Eiffel Tower by the lake) and temporary ones tied to themed festivals and holidays.

Enjoy neon and bubble shows, magical performances, traditional Uzbek and national dance, and lively flash mobs. You can paddle boats on the lake, ride roller coasters, experience the thrill of freefall on the Drop'N Tower, or test your mettle on the swinging waves of the pirate ship Galleon. For young children and aesthetes, there's a charming French carousel. Embark on a virtual journey in the 5D cinema or try your hand at the shooting gallery, where winners receive guaranteed prizes.

Table tennis has always been popular in the park, and this tradition continues today.

Grab a bite from one of the diverse stalls on the gastro street located on the central alley, offering fast food, national and Pan-Asian dishes, refreshing drinks, and desserts like ice cream, non-alcoholic cocktails, cotton candy, waffles, coffee, and a variety of fruit teas.

Visitors' safety is ensured by a round-the-clock patrol service and 200 surveillance cameras placed around the park, maintaining a peaceful atmosphere.

Due to Uzbekistan's favourable climate, the park remains open year-round, closing only once during the abnormally cold winter of 2023.
