Babur Ecopark Tashkent — Sport, Nature & Family Fun in the City

Babur Ecopark Tashkent — Nature Zone in the City Centre

Babur Ecopark Tashkent — Nature Zone in the City Centre

When you want to escape from the concrete jungle but have no chance of allocating even a couple of hours for a trip — set off with the whole family to the first Ecopark in Uzbekistan in Tashkent. The well-equipped zone has spread across the territory of the former zoo, in a lively neighbourhood not far from Amir Timur metro station. From it not only the lush vegetation has been preserved, but also a pond with an island and a modernised bridge. The fountain has undergone reconstruction and now overflows with flowers. The entrance is from two sides — one from the exit of Hamid Olimjon station of the Chilanzar line, the other opposite the Catholic church.

The concept of the park is eco-bionics with the application of smooth forms. The landscape design has organically blended into the work of nature, adorning it with manicured flowerbeds and statues in the style of contemporary art. Guests of the capital pose at the concrete installation "I love Tashkent." The place has immediately become popular with adherents of a healthy lifestyle and youth.

Food and Drink

All the familiar urban pleasures supplementing the promenade are on site. There are coffee shops and carts with soft drinks, teas, lemonades, corn dogs and popular Korean cuisine dishes from MocBang, 16 types of shashlik from Shashkeek uz, hot dogs at Chez Burger and Tin's, as well as yogurts, sorbets and ice cream at Baskin Robbins. For savouring delicacies, elongated arc-shaped benches of gabion — metal mesh filled with pebbles — are spread throughout the park. Benches are scattered throughout the new park, but do not neglect rest on the grass — sit under a tree. During rain you can enjoy appetising dishes of European cuisine in the cosy restaurant La Cantine, located on the territory, and if you want coffee from an international chain — a few minutes' walk separates you from the British Costa Coffee.
