The new year was marked for the Uzbekistan tourism sector with significant changes, contributing to the further intensive industry development.

“THE SINGLE TOURIST VISA TO UZBEKISTAN FOR 30 DAYS (INDIVIDUAL TRAVELERS)”

Decree of the President dated 4 December 2017, the government had changed the procedure for issuing tourist visas. The press service of the State Committee on Tourism Development said, that the implementation of these tasks is performed in the framework of the Tourism Development Program in 2018-2019.

Now Uzbekistan has embedded a single tourist visa for individual foreign citizens with a period of 30 days. We remind that earlier it was a shorter period (7 or 15 days). This measure will certainly bring a number of additional amenities for foreign visitors – it will help to avoid the complexities associated with the extension of the visa validity period, for example, if you cancel or postpone departure time.

“REDUCED THE COST OF ENTRY TOURIST VISAS FOR INDIVIDUAL TRAVELLERS”

Reduced the processing cost of the entry tourist visa for individual foreign tourists and currently it is amount $40. Previously, the cost was 60 $ and could serve as a deterrent that prevents travelling to Uzbekistan.

“REDUCED LOWER THRESHOLD FOR GROUP TOURIST VISA”

Two times, i.e. from 10 to 5 people reduced lower threshold for group tourist visa registration. The necessity for a group composition with at least 10 people, established a lot of complications at the organization stage of the trip – they were often formed among friends and relatives.

Group visas costs: for 15 days – $ 15, 30 days — $ 25 per person.

 

 

“CANCELLATION OF THE WRITTEN DECLARATION FOREIGN CURRENCY IN CASH”

A written declaration of imported and exported from Uzbekistan cash foreign currency in the amount of $ 2,000 and more is required. As for the export of cash foreign currency without a Central Bank resolution – set limit equivalent to USD 5,000. This law also came into effect on 1 January 2018.

“DOUBLE CORRIDOR”

In the framework of these tasks also will be founded a separate institutional organization – the “National PR-Center”.

The State Committee on Tourism Development launched a “hot line” – a special telephone service for information support of tourists.

The press service of the Committee reported that, by calling 998 (71) 200-00-88 at any time of the day you can get answers to all questions about travelling in Uzbekistan.

The standard issues will be resolved immediately; if the answer requires review of the State Committee specialist – it is recommended to call during working hours.

The future plans of the Committee – start an extra shortened (four-digit) numbers for greater user convenience.
